A Message From Our New Interim Director
Allow me introduce myself…..my name is Sandy “Jake” Jacobson, and I’m a thrilled to be in a position where I can serve my community again. The needs of our community are many so I know my work will never be done. Sometimes the need is to fix a broken pipe so that the Dishwasher can do his job. At other times, the need is to prepare reports for the agencies that support us. Today and for the past several weeks the need is to find individuals who are willing to give 3 hours per week of their time to provide homebound seniors and persons with disabilities a hot nutritious meal.
The Gold Country Community Council – Senior Nutrition Program needs drivers for its home delivered meal program. You would think people would jump at the chance to be an angel of mercy. I can assure you that the ones who have never regretted it.
My goal is to find at least two drivers that can work one day per week and five additional folks who are willing to fill in when a driver is sick or needs to leave town.
Help me fill the need…become a volunteer driver…273-4961
Jake
