The Challenge Event

Competing teams of six are sponsored by civic minded small businesses, financial institutions, law firms, academic organizations and more.

Questions will be at a level that a smart sixth grader should be able to answer. The questions will be provided by teachers from our schools.

There are six multiple-choice questions in each round. There may be as many as six rounds. A tie breaker round may be needed to resolve  tie scores.

Complimentary coffee, tea and hors d'oeuvres will be sold by the Elks Lodge.

Sponsor a Team

For a $250 entry fee your company may sponsor a team of up to six players.

Rent a Scholar

Local schools will select seventh grade students to represent their school. Teams needing help can bid for a scholar/consultant to sit at their table.

The Gold Country Center Sixth Grade Challenge Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the team with the highest point total. The name of the sponsoring team will be engraved on the trophy which can be proudly displayed for a year.
